To ensure GDPR compliance, Inrecruiting provides candidates with full control over their accounts. Through the Personal Settings section, accessible via the icon in the top right corner, candidates can manage various operations, including requesting profile anonymization.
The anonymization request must be confirmed by the Company User. Pending requests for approval are visible in Candidates > User Account Admin. If a notification email for privacy-related updates has been configured (System Settings > Privacy and Security), the company will also receive an automatic alert whenever a candidate initiates this process.
After confirmation from the Company User, the candidate's profile information will be completely anonymized.
All personal data will be hidden.
Fields marked as “Sensitive” will be permanently deleted.
In the interface, the anonymized profile will display no information except for the candidate’s ID, which will remain visible.
⚠️ Important: Only the candidates can restore their profile.
To do it, they must log in to their private area, go to the "Personal Settings" section, follow the de-anonymization steps, and re-enter the sensitive information.
Additionally, the company can anonymize a candidate directly from the database by choosing one of the following options:
- Go to Candidates > User Account Admin , click on the icon next to the candidate, and select Anonymize.
- Automate the data retention process, as explained in this guide: Candidate Data Retention Policy
Once anonymized, the candidate will receive an automatic confirmation email from the system. To customize this message, go to System Settings > E-mails > Candidates >Account Anonymised - Confirmation.
If an anonymized candidate wishes to apply for a job posting, the system will require them to de-anonymize themselves and re-enter their personal details.
